#19: Tom & Jerry (2021)
Director Tim Story placed Tom & Jerry into a luxury hotel in New York City in February 2021. The film used a stylized animation technique for the animals, but the human plotlines completely dominated the running time. Audiences spent more time watching wedding planners and hotel staff than the iconic cartoon violence they actually paid to see. The classic slapstick sequences felt incredibly repetitive and lacked the perfect timing of the original shorts.
