#2: Dragonball Evolution (2009)
20th Century Fox infuriated global anime fans in April 2009 with this heavily Americanized adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s legendary animated franchise, Dragon Ball. The filmmakers cast white actors in Japanese roles and completely altered the mystical lore of the series. The movie turned an epic martial arts story into a generic American high school drama filled with terrible digital special effects. The scriptwriter actually issued a public apology to the fanbase years later for delivering such a poor product.
