Everything about this next story is literally the saddest thing I have ever heard. I mean it: if you’re not in the mood to read something genuinely tragic, you should probably move along. OK, you’re still here? Do you agree with me that this is a crazy sad story?

I think what made me the most upset about it is that none of the adults stepped in. Little children, who are not fully mentally or emotionally developed, can be little monsters on occasion. That’s why it’s up to the adults in their lives, who are fully mentally and emotionally developed, to interfere when the kids are doing something terrible. I hope every adult at that party got no birthday presents that year.
