Stan Lee’s personal stamp of approval on the project
To get cast in a significant role in a Marvel movie that will be featured in more than one of the studio’s films, you need the backing of more than one individual (Not to mention appearances in other MCU films). The producers of Spider-Man were quite impressed with Tom Holland’s acting in movies like as “The Impossible” and “In the Heart of the Sea.”
The directors of the movie thought that his ability to perform gymnastics was far more interesting than anything else he had to offer. There was only one person who had a chance of helping to close the transaction, and that was Spider-creator, Man’s Stan Lee. Holland was able to convince everyone that Tom was the right choice for the role because he claimed that Tom looked just like the Peter Parker he had always envisioned.
