#6: The Florida Everglades During Mosquito Season
First comes the buzzing. Then comes the realization that covering exposed skin may matter more than wearing the lightest possible outfit. From roughly May through November, wet-season travel brings high temperatures, sudden thunderstorms, deeper water, and sometimes intense levels of mosquitoes and biting flies. The same conditions also produce a greener, more dramatic landscape, with active wildlife and towering clouds that can transform the sky within minutes.
