#9: Agent Carter (2015-2016)
Agent Carter gave Peggy Carter a postwar espionage series, allowing Hayley Atwell to explore the hero beyond her Captain America appearances. ABC canceled it after two seasons, just as the show introduced a mysterious shooting and expanded its conspiracy. The loss became more noticeable as Marvel television grew into a sprawling universe filled with less distinctive projects. Peggy eventually received emotional closure elsewhere, but her clever, glamorous agency adventures still deserved several additional missions onscreen.
