#27: M*A*S*H, 1972
M*A*S*H (which stands for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) is an American comedy-drama series that was immensely popular throughout the 70s and 80s. It aired on CBS for eleven seasons from 1972 to 1983. The TV series was based on a 1970 film of the same name, which was based on the 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors by Richard Hooke.

The series followed a team of American doctors who were stationed in South Korea during the Korean War. Starring actors Alan Alda and Wayne Rogers in lead roles, the show’s novelty, acting, and script have made it one of the most memorable and iconic shows of the decade.
