#6: Some twins have very different personalities
Anyone who grew up near twins probably learned this early: matching faces do not guarantee matching temperaments. Some twins have very different personalities, and families often notice the contrast long before outsiders do. One may love being first to talk to strangers, while the other prefers to observe from a safe corner. One may keep every toy in its proper place, while the other seems born to scatter crayons across the kitchen floor. This is not unusual. Genetics can influence temperament, but personality also grows from experience, friendships, expectations, and countless private reactions to the same household.
