The son of the 2nd president of the United States, John Quincy Adams, had a pretty good shot at the presidency himself. In those days, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, and nepotism was one of the only ways to get ahead in life. As the 6th president of the United States, John Quincy Adams had a colorful past in politics.
Let’s be honest, we all have that friend who talks about wine as if they are a wine connoisseur. Well, it should be no shock that John Quincy Adams was one of the biggest wine snobs of all time. There are letters of him bragging to his mother about 160-year-old Rhenish wines and identifying different wines whilst being blindfolded… He might not have stopped anyone from partying, but his wine talk would have put people to sleep.
