Every president has something distinctive about their term in office that defines their presidency. And when it comes to the 5th president of the United States, James Monroe, there was not a bad word anyone could say about him. Thomas Jefferson once said, “Monroe was so honest that if you turned his soul inside out there would not be a spot on it.”
Well, it should come as no surprise that Monroe was not a man filled with the need to drink.
