#5: George Washington
Before George Washington, there had never been a president of the United States before. On the 30th of April, 1789, George Washington was sworn in as the first president of the United States of America and led the American people for the first time as a sovereign nation.
It might not be the most morally sound thing to do, but Washington was the first of many politicians to bribe voters with alcohol… He passed out 144 gallons of hooch when he was campaigning for the Virginia House of Burgesses. He even had his own whiskey distillery, Mount Vernon distillery… It is safe to say that the first president was a real party animal.
