the Vikings Standings
The discovery of traces of the Vikings is another intriguing find by scientists. Scientists in Norway’s Juvfonna region have discovered Viking-era artifacts buried deep within the glaciers. They also found sticks, bows and arrows, and the leather parts of shoes among the mostly reindeer-manufactured gear. An archaelogist’s treasure, for sure!
It was determined that the majority of the materials they found date back 3,400 years. Reindeer traps were one of the more exciting pieces of equipment they discovered. In order to make noise, they used tethered sticks. The reindeer would be rounded up into small groups by making this noise. They did a fine job, Vikings.
