Brains of a Mammoth
The brains of a woolly mammoth have been discovered in the ice by these scientists. These, however, were not brains fit for human consumption (I know what you were thinking). Rather than an ice patch, this mammoth was discovered in some abandoned permafrost along the coast of the Laptev Sea.
The brain of this mammoth is the only one that has been discovered intact to date. With an estimated age of 39,000 years, the find is all the more remarkable. It was estimated that the baby mammoth was between the ages of six and nine. Scientists may have discovered it because of its short lifespan. It most likely died instantly.
