Underrated actors who deserved much more attention

Vincent Cassel became one of France’s most recognizable actors after La Haine (1995), a film that reflected social tensions in French suburbs during the 1990s. Though often cast as intense characters, he has shown impressive range across genres. International audiences also remember his strong performances in Black Swan (2010) and Eastern Promises (2007).
