Longtime New York Giants manager John McGraw was one of baseball’s most intense figures during the early twentieth century. After the 1912 season, he joined the popular vaudeville circuit, performing baseball-themed monologues across the country. McGraw earned impressive pay and became a successful attraction before deciding stage life was not for him.
