#29: The Disappearance of the USS Cyclops
When it comes to the ocean, there is no way of knowing what can happen out there. Even if you are a skilled seaman, plenty of things can happen at sea that go beyond reason. On February 16th, 1918, the USS Cyclops left Rio De Janeiro for Baltimore, Maryland, with 306 passengers on board. The gigantic ship was carrying manganese ore and was rumored to be 100 tons over its limit.

For some reason, the USS Cyclops made a small detour in Barbados and set out for its original posting in Baltimore on March 4th, to arrive in the US on the 13th. However, the USS Cyclops never made it to America… After a tireless search, no wreckage from the ship or any bodies were recovered. There is no way of knowing what happened, but many believe the ship encountered the Bermuda Triangle.
