Media icon Oprah Winfrey has openly discussed her dislike of chewing gum, a fear known as chiclephobia. The issue began in childhood after seeing her grandmother save used gum. Oprah later banned gum from her workplace. She has also expressed discomfort around balloons, particularly because their popping sound reminds her of gunshots.
