Sage Advice
When posting this, the owner suggested washing out your paintbrushes to make them last. They’re right. A good paintbrush can last decades. This one is only 15 years old, but I have three that are over forty years old and still get used regularly when we have a project.
You have to diligently clean the bristles and then ensure it dries properly, or it will rust. You also need to purchase a quality paintbrush, to begin with. I know it seems weird to spend $20 on a paintbrush when there’s one for $3 sitting right next to it, but the construction is essential. You don’t want bristles ending up in your wall paint!
