#20: Tonka Trucks (1946 but very popular in the 60s)
Tonka Trucks were simply rugged construction trucks cast from metal and intended for play. We don’t know what it is exactly about them, but some little boys simply go ga-ga for their trucks! With the release of Hot Wheel cars in 1968, Tonka Trucks also received a boom in sales. Like Hot Wheels, Tonka was known for its realistic attention to detail, something that even the most modern truck lovers would find fascinating today.
