Calling all carb enthusiasts! Does spending a night or two in a potato sound appealing? (We had to!) If so, pay a visit to Boise Idaho, where you can spend the night inside a potato! Not a real potato, obviously, but a 6-ton potato recycled from the Idaho Potato Commission’s Big Idaho Potato Tour! This potato turned tiny home sits on 400 acres just south of downtown Boise. Don’t judge this potato from its outside appearance though, the inside is super stylish and measures out at 28 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 11.5 feet tall.

During these times, where traveling abroad can be tricky, there are plenty of attractions to visit in our country. You’ve probably never considered Idaho as a trip destination – even when thinking of exciting attractions around the U.S., the first places that come to mind are New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas or Chicago, to name a few, but Boise, Idaho, isn’t at the top of the list. Well, don’t discard the idea before you’ve even considered it. You’ll be surprised with the attractions you can find in Idaho, and we’re not just talking about sleeping in a giant potato (don’t worry, they’re not all potato-related).
It really just keeps getting better though; visitors can also enjoy a silo turned spa retreat that comes complete with a skylight for some late-night stargazing. And when you think it can’t get any better than that, visitors also get to enjoy the company of the sweetest, fluffiest cow during their stay.
During your stay, there are some really cool places to check out in Boise! Hit downtown Boise to experience the business district, visit the state capitol, the zoo, and one of the two farmers markets. If you fancy a garden tour, check out Idaho’s Botanical Garden. Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is the place to go if you’re a fan of skiing and/or snowboarding, and lastly, for the thrillseekers, check out the Old Idaho Penitentiary and enjoy a guided tour.
