Nature Talks
This is a hindbrain response to something frightening. If you’re going through any area that’s usually busy with buzzing insects and bird songs but all of a sudden becomes completely silent, it’s time to get out! There are some huge predators on the prowl around here!
Something similar happened to me when there was a baby bear close by. It’s important to note that the baby bear didn’t cause the silence. Since small and adorable babies are usually never alone, their big mothers aren’t far behind either. So, my husband made me walk slowly and calmly back to our shelter while keeping an eye on the mother Bear until it finally appeared once the baby had passed by.
