Ice Packs
You don’t have to spend money on those blue gel ice cold packs any longer. If you’re like most parents, you probably have a supply of sponges at home. Fill a sealable bag with water and place a sponge in the freezer.
Simply wrap the frozen sponge in a thin cloth and place it on the affected body part if someone has a fever or a sprained muscle. The same goes for black eyes and puffiness around the eyes. You may also keep them cold by packing them in your child’s lunchbox.
