Life Choices
The idea, at first, seemed to be that this woman was far happier before she became rich. She’s wearing a simple dress in the first panel and has etched “good life” on her knuckles. In the second panel, she amassed money — she’s dressed up fancy and has lots of jewelry on. But she crossed out the word “good,” adding ringed crosses over it. She has a life of her own, but even with money, it isn’t as wonderful anymore.
This is a great way to think about how your life changes, and how your ideas change. You get a tattoo because it reflects how you’re feeling at the time. But things change, and you’re left with a tattoo that doesn’t represent you, your life, your preferences, or your beliefs anymore.
