Egglers
Egglers were individuals, both young and old, who made their money selling large quantities of fresh eggs at local markets. To some extent, this line of work still exists today, as exemplified by any local farmers’ market.
Egglers began to sell various other goods as the economy expanded, supplementing their income. This flexibility prevented the job from being completely destroyed, which is why it can still be found in some areas today.
