Radio Actors
Before television was invented, radio plays were very popular. People in the 1920s used their radios to listen to news, music, monologues, and drama, so it’s no surprise that some people worked as voice actors for these shows.
Of course, this line of work still exists. The introduction of television and later the internet have led to a steady decrease in this career, but we can still hear radio actors giving passionate performances while commuting to work.
