Maryland – A War Battle Monument
For many years, the world has witnessed vicious conflicts. The Battle of North Point in 1814 was one of a slew of horrible confrontations that occurred during the war. American troops savagely crippled their British counterparts following the execution of one commander at North Point in 1812, among a slew of other terrible clashes during the conflict.
It is widely believed that the picture was taken by John Plumbe, who also took the first photo of the White House. The monument may be seen now located between East Fayette and East Lexington avenues.
