Missouri – A St. Louis Lady
The oldest photograph ever taken in Missouri is a photo of Lucretia Mott, which has stood out for all time, having been captured in 1851. It shows Lucretia Mott, who had just completed her travels across the United States after her father hoped she would understand all there is to know about politics.
She was sent to boarding school when she was 13, where she finished her education in order to become a teacher. That was the moment when she discovered an interest in women’s rights and began speaking out for equal gender and socioeconomic rights.
