Alabama – the Sons of Edmund King
In the 1850s, a man named Edmund King made a vow to himself: he vowed to become one of Alabama’s most successful entrepreneurs and eventually in all states. He had four sons.
The Sons of Edmund King of Montevallo, Alabama: William Woodson King, E. Thomas King, Peyton King, and Nathaniel King was founded in 1850. The Department of Archive & History of Alabama contains a group photo from the year 1850. The image is said to be one of the state’s oldest photographs, if not the oldest.
