Songs and poems have been written about this flirty mechanism. When you lock eyes with someone across a crowded room, you are conveying your interest in them while also making them feel like the most special person in the room. Unless you stare at them too long … then you come across as creepy and stalker-like. That’s not the best way to make a good first impression.
