In July of that year, a public ceremony marked the beginning of Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert II of Monaco’s new life together as husband and wife. After that, a smaller-scale civil ceremony took place in the following location. Her off-the-shoulder Giorgio Armani gown had 40,000 Swarovski crystals and 88 yards of silk adorning it. The dress also had 88 yards of silk.

Both the bride and groom wore wedding bands designed and created by Cartier. The bands were made of platinum and white gold. About 450 people attended the celebration, which included both a dinner with multiple courses that were created by Alain Ducasse, who has a Michelin star, and a fireworks display.
