#12: Jaywalking Laws Still Enforced
Jaywalking laws became common in the early 20th century when cars began replacing pedestrians as the focus of city streets. Many U.S. cities still fine people for crossing outside marked areas. Though rarely enforced strictly, these laws remain active, even though modern traffic patterns often make informal crossing unavoidable.
