#17: Lola Albright
You probably remember Lola Albright from the screen, not the page. While she did begin her career as a fashion model, her true calling was acting. She had a long and successful career in film and television, most famously playing the smoky-voiced singer Edie Hart on the TV series Peter Gunn from 1958 to 1961. She was a talented actress and singer who used modeling as a stepping stone to the career she really wanted.
