The Noviplano was set on fire After It Had Crashed In the Lake
What is nine-winged and prone to catching fire after crashing? That’s the Caproni-built Ca 60 Noviplano. This plane, built in Italy in the 1920s, was intended to transport at least 100 passengers across the Atlantic Ocean. It has three sets of three wings as well.
The jet took off from Lake Maggiore in Italy, but never crossed any international borders. It took a 60-foot flight before crashing into the lake below. The jet caught fire while it was being dragged away. In a lake, how does that happen?
