Gleaming List Of Achievements
By the year 2015, Susan Boyle had amassed an impressive list of accomplishments, including, to name just a few, a debut album that sold quickly, two nominations for the Grammy Award, and millions of album sales. And not long after that, Boyle was able to add one more achievement to her list. According to BBC News, she was awarded an honorary doctorate for distinction in music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. This was quite an accomplishment.
In a ceremony that took place in June of 2015, the prestigious performing arts university bestowed upon the former judge of Britain’s Got Talent one of its highly sought-after doctorates. Annie Lennox, an artist, and Tilda Swinton, an actress, are two of the notable people who have received honorary degrees from this institution. Shortly after the graduation ceremony, Boyle gave an interview to BBC News in which he said, “I’m absolutely on top of the world.” “I have a lot of (thankfulness and) privilege,” she said. Boyle was professionally connected to Andrew Panton, who was the artistic director of musical theater at the Royal Conservatoire, prior to the time that she was granted a degree from the institution. As a result, she had become a well-known face in the halls of the Royal Conservatoire.
