#13: Abigail Adams
Dubbed ‘America’s first feminist, ’ Abigail Adams was a highly intelligent woman with strong opinions about women’s rights. She shared those opinions with her husband, John Adams, one of the Founding Fathers and the second President of the United States. When he was away from home working with others to draft the Constitution, she famously wrote to Adams to “remember the ladies” when establishing the laws that would govern the newly established country.
