#18: Rose Kennedy
The matriarch of the politically powerful Kennedy family and the mother of nine children, Rose Kennedy, saw her son, John, become the president, and two of her other children, Edward and Robert, become senators. She was a vision of strength and resilience when John, then Robert, were gunned down by assassins. She strongly supported the causes her children started.
