#14: Detroit Pistons Hit a Wall in 1979-80
The 1979-80 Detroit Pistons finished 16-66 during one of the roughest periods before the Bad Boys era began later in the decade. Attendance suffered badly, and the franchise lacked recognizable stars outside of Kent Benson. Detroit eventually rebuilt around Isiah Thomas, but this season showed just how far away contention really was.
