The 1996-97 Boston Celtics finished 15-67 during one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Just a decade earlier, Boston had still been competing for championships behind Larry Bird. Injuries, poor roster decisions, and failed rebuilding efforts left the Celtics near the bottom of the league before drafting Paul Pierce soon afterward.
