Arlington Road’s Trailer Sucked All the Suspense Out of the Movie
Arlington Road is not as well-known as some of the other movies on our list, but it is a thriller worth watching. This movie from 1999 follows the story of a college professor who teaches a criminology course. His wife was an FBI agent who lost her life during a standoff. The main plot revolves around a family who moves to a neighboring house – and the main character trying to figure out if they are planning to blow up a government building or not.
Ultimately, the trailer for the film destroys any suspense or confusion about whether the family are criminals. It immediately jumps into the second half of the story and shows the professor trying to stop them. Consequently, viewers who watch only the first half of the trailers would already know that they are terrorists.
