#3: Orson Welles
Long before he was a famous film director, Orson Welles was a master of radio. His 1938 broadcast of “The War of the Worlds” was so convincing it supposedly caused a panic. He had a booming, theatrical delivery that made you believe anything. Later, he used that voice to great effect in films, often as a narrator or a larger-than-life character. He even voiced the planet-eating Unicron in The Transformers: The Movie (1986). His presence was immense, but his voice was legendary.
