For every person in this huge world, it is the parents who are usually the closest and most loyal friends. Who, if not them, will teach us to understand the world around us and show us the right way, even though, to be honest, we don’t always understand and appreciate it. Forgetting that all they ever tried to do is what’s best for us and often at the expense of their interest and even health, but friends, sometimes what most of us see as the norm and what we don’t even always pay attention to can be a dream for someone else, a dream that will never come true, a dream of loving parents and a comfortable home, a dream of one little girl. The story you’re going to read begins many years ago on one of the streets of the roughest neighborhoods of Kansas City.
Not Enough
In the midst of her hopelessness and depression, she found solace in the company of one person who was willing to listen to her cries for assistance and give her a place of refuge. She was aware that she could count on that individual to be there for her in any situation.

In the 1990s, when she was a child living in Kansas City, Missouri with her mother and two brothers, the family had a hard time making ends meet despite their best efforts. Her mother put in a lot of effort to make ends meet for the family, but it never appeared as though it was enough.
