Being a responsible parent
Although Chantelle and Alfie were determined about their love for Maisie, the world would not let them forget that they were children themselves. They were fortunate to have loving, supportive parents who did not allow them to believe otherwise.
The media was a continual source of pressure, making them question if they were qualified to take on this responsibility. Chantelle and Alfie needed some time to process the idea that they were now parents. However, they did an excellent job and lavished all of their affection on Maisie.
