For whatever reason, the idea of buying a stranger’s used items that have been hauled out to the driveway is so appealing that garage sales have become a quintessential part of American life. Perhaps it is the thrill of the hunt. After all, you have to stop at a lot of weird garage sales before you find a hidden treasure that will make your life complete. #1: The Exercise Equipment No One Used
People have such good intentions when they invest in exercise equipment. ‘I won’t have to go to the gym,’ they think. ‘I can get fit right from my own living room.’ It is cute that they actually believe this. Two weeks later and that expensive exercise equipment becomes a clothes rack … and stays that way until the person finally faces reality and puts the object in the garage sale.
