Staying relevant as a restaurant or pub can be challenging. It’s a very competitive field. To keep customers coming back, you need to switch things up now and again. But not so much that you end up scaring potential customers away… The We Want Plates movement, created in 2015 by Ross McGinnes, has been demanding that food and drinks be served the old-fashioned way. We applaud every business owner who tries something new now and again, but sometimes, as well-intentioned as something might be, the outcome can be a disaster.

Wood is a beautiful natural material on this planet. Because of its versatility, you can make many different things with this material; the opportunities are endless. But just because we can doesn’t mean that we always should.
Sure, wooden chopping boards are an excellent addition to the kitchen, but ones with slits in them probably shouldn’t be served with food on them. Whoever ate this must have been careful not to spill all their food through the cracks.
