In the end, the story of Teddy was a heartwarming one. The dog had been through a lot but made it out on the other side as a winner. A dog with a family that loves him very much and people that heard about his story and were touched and inspired by it. 

For a dog that grew up in an abusive home, ran away or was abandoned, hit by a car, and ended up in a swamp, he did just fine. It was good-hearted people who were ready to help him and take time out of their lives to save the life of another animal.
