I wish I could believe that this was true—I do. There is something so comforting in the notion that any diseases that plague and kill human beings could be cured by simply believing and acting with piety. Unfortunately, science tells us that the Messiah is not the cure.
That’s why this response is so cutting. The performance of naïveté, coupled with the implication that Jesus Christ employs the scientific method, is enough to get a laugh out of me and probably a sneer out of Nita. However you respond, I think Jovan is doing The Lord’s work promoting modern medicine.
