The Thief Struck
Jacob scoured every possible hiding spot, yet the reality was stark; a garden hose doesn’t just disappear into thin air. Detached from its usual post by the water supply, it was as if it had been erased from existence. He was a creature of habit, and the disruption of being unable to water his plants on schedule frustrated him. Seeking solace in work, he retreated indoors, hoping to distract himself from it. But curiosity drew him back outside an hour later, only to find the hose coiled neatly in its rightful place, as if it had never moved. Jacob was left questioning whether his earlier panic had been a figment of his imagination.
