A donation
One day, the local church got a huge donation from an art collector who was also Spanish. It was a large fresco from the 19th century. The title of the piece was Ecce Homo and it was by a famous Spanish painter known as Elias Garcia Martinez. Just the name alone was a big deal.
The collector was actually his granddaughter, who wanted to do something nice for the small town and give them a huge gift of one of his pieces. This was really shocking news for the church and the town, who felt honored to have such an item in their presence and at their church.
