Gen Xers are pretty practical people, but there are times when they take the hard road without consciously realizing it. This Twitter user saw a woman around her age walking around the store carrying a 50-pound bag of dog food in her arms. She didn’t want to use an easily-accessible shopping cart to carry around the heavy bag. That would have been too easy.
Who needs a shopping cart when you have true grit and self-reliance? The kids these days are too soft. They’re all about self-care and knowing their physical limitations. Gen X, on the other hand, is out to prove themselves, even if it means throwing out their back and waking up sore the next day. Shopping cart, who?
