#17: Wendy’s Frescata Sandwiches (2000s)
The Wendy’s Frescata represents another example of a good idea launched by the wrong company. When the brand decided it wanted to break into the deli market, Wendy’s launched the Frescata, a sandwich featuring artisan bread and fresher ingredients. And even though customers seemed to like it, the sandwich just didn’t align with Wendy’s core menu items, meaning the Frescata was out on its hind quarters after a short period of success.
